Disobedience to Allaah brings this & worseNumber Three
Commiting Shirk in obedience
"They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah. there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)."
Quraan 9:31
"They took their rabbi's and monks as lords besides Allaah (by obeying them in disobedience to Allaah) and they also took Messiah 'Eesaa son of Maryam as their lord while they were commanded to worship one God (Allaah None has the right to be worshipped in truth except He). Praise and Glory is to Him (Far above he) from having the partners they associate with him."
Quraan 9:31
The Prophet (saw) replied to Adee bin Haatim that their (Christians) worship of them was their obedience to them in disobience to Allaah.
